Beauty blender dupe

For those of you who are debating splurging and getting a beauty blender please put down the wallet and car keys, you're going to want to hear this. I was an avid beauty blender user for about a year now, I loved it! The BB revolutionized the way I applied my makeup not only on myself but on my clients. HOWEVER I was not thrilled having to replace a makeup sponge every few months for over 20$ ! For those of you who haven't tried it yet let me describe it so we know what we are working with. The beauty blender is a pink small dense sponge when dry and than when you wet it, it doubles in size and becomes a soft amazing squishy sponge that doesn't Absorb your makeup like ordinary cosmetic sponges. The beauty blender is meant to be used wet for that purpose also it creates such a flawless and effortless application.

HOWEVER the price is what kills it for some people, I was one of them for a while but now I find myself reaching for the real techniques sponge , it's an orange sponge that similar to the BB doubles in size when wet, yet stays dense and squishy all at the same time! A huge difference that I LOVE is not only the price ( 5.99) but one side of the sponge is flat! Oh my geez this is so amazing for doing under eye concealer and around your nose etc , it's fabulous.

I have tried over 23 "beauty blender dupes " and I have to say none even compare to this sponge it's equal or greater in quality As the Beauty blender and so much more affordable, I also find it's a million times easier to clean !

Well I hope I helped you all save a bit of cash, I know that's always a plus in my book!

Naked 3 Palette Review & Swatches

Hello again Beautiful! I have FINALLY had time to sit down and write my review of the infamous Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay. This palette at first made me a little weary to buy it due to the fact that it is all rose toned shadows. I have a yellow undertone to my skin that cause pink/ rose and red eyeshadows to make me look sickly. Despite that I splurged on it, mainly for clients. The first palette was so incredible and versatile to me that this one had a lot to live up to! Let's jump right into the swatches and Ill state my opinion on them after! xoxo

So as you can see, this palette is absolutely stunning!I love the rose hued colors, as I stated before I didn't think that they would be attractive on myself however the pigmentation is phenomenal. the quality of this palette is just as comparable as the original naked palette maybe even a little better. Especially with that stunning rose gold case you can't go wrong. :-) Now let's get the colors, obviously the color that grabbed my attention immediately was trick, is the most vibrant of the colors I believe in simply stunning as a rose champagne gold. The only downfall is the color pay off, I had to work really hard to get some color payoff when I swatched it the first time. After that, the color translated fine. I think just the first few times you use this color you need to scratch at it to get the color to become usable. Now for my next favorite color, Blackheart! I did not think I would like this color because it is so dark and has a shimmer undertone, I usually go for just a matte black with no shimmer or sheen. This color is so beautiful when placed on the lid, you had a gorgeous red undertone because of the shimmer that it makes such a unique color for the outer V, it almost gives a romantic feel and can soften any smoky I want to do. Mac has a color that is similar, Beauty Marked, but i feel that the shimmer in Mac's is not as finely milled. Now for transition shades, my top two favorites in the palette for transition are nooner and limit. They are the perfect cross between rose, champagne and brown. Limit is of course a lot lighter in color but just as beautiful. Nooner reminds me a lot of Mas's Haux with a little bit smoother of a consistency.this pallet also has a shimmer highlights and a matte highlight, dust and strange, dust reminds me of sin in the original naked pallet but a little more rosey. Strange is a very pale vanilla color, it's so gorgeous on the inner tear ducts and brow bone.

Packaging : this palette has a snap closure which I like a lot better than the magnet closure of the first palette. Also who can deny the gorgeous color of it?! There is also a LARGE Mirror, more than 2x's the size of the original palette.

Quality: the pigmentation is phenomenal, it is so creamy and luxurious which I appreciate a lot. There is little to no fallout, and the shadows don't seem overly powdery.

Versatility: I think this palette is just as versatile as the first two. The Naked 1 is more warm toned so of course it caters a little more toward warm skin tones and the Naked 2 is more cool toned. The Naked 3 however has a nice blend of both. Nothing is overly pink which is what I was worried about since pink eye shadows make me look sick and washed out. I have tried this palette on three different skin tones ( very pale, medium olive, and dark) all of which looked beautiful! These shadows also flatter more mature wearers, which is kind of hard to find.
Dislikes:
Included brush: this brush is a streaky application, it's not terrible but I prefer my brushes instead.
One shadow was put in there kind of slanted, I know its not a huge deal but i mean i payed $50 for it :p

All in all I was rather impressed by this palette and am thrilled by how versatile and romantic it is. Do i think its worth the money? YES, I adore the first naked palette and I enjoy this one as well, Not so much the second palette but 2/3 is great to me! I hope you enjoyed this super long post! xoxo 'til next time beauties!

Naked Palette Swatches & Review

The Naked Palette by Urban Decay is such a famous eye-shadow palette in the makeup world, I mean who hasn't heard of it?! I was so skeptical of it in the beginning, not only because I couldn't imagine paying $50+ for 12 eye shadows, but because I was so loyal to my Nyx and Mac single eye shadows and quads. Well let me just say that that loyalty isn't so strong anymore! I LOVE the quality of the naked eye shadows. Some companies have amazing eye shadows but when they put them into a large palette the quality seems to be lacking. However that is NOT the case here. The shadows are so opaque, Creamy, and the pigmentation is out of this world. I mean of coarse there are the highlight shades that are a lot lighter and since I am so pale right now they kind of blend in, but i tried them on my good sport of a husband and they showed the same quality of pigmentation :) Another great bonus with this palette is that it is so versatile, if your pale it will be beautiful for day and evening looks and same goes for tan, olive, and dark toned ladies, and that is so rare to find in a palette because they usually cater to one or the other. Now to the good stuff, the swatches, that's what you're here for right?! --------------->

So as you can see the pigmentation is phenomenal! I only did one swipe, except for Sin and Virgin i had to do two swipes because they are so fair and since it's winter I am pale. Breakdown :
Likes:
Pigmentation
opaque
consistency (creamy and luxurious)
selection
versatility
mirror on interior of palette
size, perfect for travel!
matte and shimmer shades

Dislikes:
Included brush - I prefer my sigma and real technique brushes
Packaging - the velvet like exterior is off putting to me, anything fuzzy sticks to it like glue!
Magnet closure - My daughter can open this so easily unlike my snap close palettes that I own.

To wrap it all up I definitely think this palette is worth the money. If your a beginner in makeup or advanced you will love this palette. It has so many different combinations and possibilities , dry or wet these are great!. Shoot girl pop this in your purse and take a look from day to night easy peasy lemon squeezy :) Hope you enjoyed this review, 'Til next time Gorgeous xoxo
